Wellness is my passion
Taking an individualised, root cause approach to wellness.
I help my clients build healthy habits, feel better, and find what works for them.
I’m Gemma. I am a passionate Emotional Freedom Therapy Practitioner. I am currently training to be a Functional Wellness Practitioner with the College of Functional Wellness and as part of my studies have qualified in Nutrition and Coaching. I enjoy helping others to learn how to read their own path to health.
My journey into health coaching and EFT began with a personal quest for well-being, after losing my mobility to a condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).
GCR Wellness is blossoming into an offering of the tools that helped me to regain Growth, Connection and Restoration.

Why I can help?
I know what it is like first hand to have experienced symptoms that become limiting.
My journey began improving when I realised the connection between my menstruation cycle, nutrition, my nervous system and my nerve disorder (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, CRPS). This was through much trial and error, testing many approaches.
As part of this, I had always been told that the pain I experienced at menstruation was normal. I now know that if I feel pain at menstruation there is a message to decode and pain at menstruation is not normal for me. I experience pain free menstruation when I work with the tools I have learnt from my Functional Wellness Diploma. I am human and sometimes I get it wrong, but pain-free menstruation is more of a norm for me now and these tools have supported me to reduce other symptoms.
Some of the symptoms I have reduced include my chronic pain condition Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I do not have pain from CRPS persistently at this point. I have been able to sell my wheelchair, albeit still limited mobility due to skeletal issues. I manage my condition well and have CRPS flare ups occasionally. These flare ups are an opportunity to review my diet and lifestyle.
Every tool I train in, is because I use it myself to support my own body. The best gift I can give my body is to continue utilising these tools. My intention is to be able to share this gift with you to allow you to support your own journey.
